
Abigayle Nuñez - Assistant Director, Company Dancer, and Studio Instructor



Abigayle Burkholder- Nunez Was born and raised in Grand Junction CO. She started dancing at age eight with liturgical dance with her local congregation, soon after she began studying ballet at the Institute of Dancing arts. She continued her studies in Ballet, Pointe, and Contemporary at A Time to Dance when her family moved to Montrose, CO when she was 12 years old. At A Time to Dance, she also found her love of teaching through working side by side with Catherine Frates the Director of A Time to Dance. Abigayle has attended numerous prestigious Dance intensives hosted by the world's Premiere Christian Ballet and Modern Companies. She attended Ballet Magnificats four-week summer dance intensive in 2016, and 2017 where she was given the opportunity to learn and perform company repertoire choreographed by Jiri Vorbosky. In 2018 she attended Ad Deum Dance companies spring dance intensive where she got to take classes from Randall Flinn, Alicia Graff Mack, And Vincent Hardy. During her time at Colorado Mesa University ( 2017-2019), She was in numerous student choreographed works and had the opportunity to perform representing Colorado Mesa University at ACDA, American College Dance Association, In Spring of 2018. She has performed in pieces choreographed by Amanda Benzin, Gabrielle Cahill, Ann Sanders, and Marilyn & Sekou Sylla. Through guidance and various training over the course of the past ten years, she has received multiple tools and tactics to help foster a healthy and safe studio environment for budding dancers. She wants to help nurture strong and sound dancers and help cultivate kind, joyful, passionate, gracious movers of all ages at all stages and of all abilities.
