Molly Shively - Studio Instructor

I was born in Colorado Springs, CO but spent most of my life living in Canon City, CO. All my life I had been in love with dance and wanted to be involved in the arts, it wasn’t until I was 7 that I officially started classes. I began with tap, jazz, and lyrical. Once my family and I moved to Canon City I chose to focus solely on classical ballet. There were only two studios in town, I chose to study at The School of Ballet Arts where I developed my love and passion for classical ballet. In high school I had the opportunity to start teaching classes, primarily beginning ballet from ages 3-8 as well as adult ballet.

After high school I attended Colorado Mesa University where I completed a double major in Dance and Fitness and Health Promotion. During my time at CMU I was challenged to try all styles of dance offered along with choreographing and teaching. With my double major I developed a cross training program that incorporated strength training into dance classes to address weaknesses and imbalances that come naturally when studying dance. I have a newfound passion in helping prevent injury and to educate dancers on ways to maintain and further their ability and bodies through cross training.

Along with teaching I enjoy hiking, camping, discipling, and coffee. I currently work full time at Four Winds Coffee & Tea where I get to make coffee and relationships on the daily. I have the worlds cutest dog and enjoy spending time with her, especially hiking and camping. Lastly, I love talking about life and hearing about how God is working for your good. Let’s bear one another’s burdens and do life together!
