Mission

To use excellence in performing arts education and performance to actively demonstrate the love of Christ to our community, our nation and our world.

#1 Value - Relationships

1 John 4:16 says "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." We believe that God loves people fully. Jesus demonstrated what it looked like to live in community with others. He showed us how to walk alongside each other in the good and the bad. He showed us how to love and serve others who think and believe differently than us. We believe we are called to walk in Jesus's foot step and to love the people around us. We value the relationships we have with our staff members, volunteers, students, their parents, our audience members and our community. Everything we do is done with the desire to love and serve people well. Our skill set is the performing arts and that is the platform we use as a business and ministry to serve and love our community. As students and community members enter our doors we want them to feel seen, known, and loved. As we provide excellence in the performing arts we care deeply about the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical well being of our community, We could not do what we do without the support of our community and are incredibly appreciative of their involvement and support.

#2 Value - Stewardship

Stewardship is an ethic that embodies the responsible planning and management of resources. The concepts of stewardship can be applied to the environment and nature, economics, health, property, information, theology, cultural resources etc (Stewardship.com). We believe that good stewardship is a biblical calling. We believe every dollar, every resource, student, community member and opportunity is a gift from the Lord and is to be handled with care. Our desire is to take care of what God has given us to the best of our ability. Everyone who enters the doors of Reverent Rhythms, whether they are there for a day or many years, will be given our very best. We will invest in our staff, volunteers, our Reverent Rhythms family and our community with a desire to train them up as kind, confident, empowered, educated  healthy and capable contributors of the performing arts world and community.

#3 Value - Excellence

Reverent Rhythms staff and volunteers continues to cultivate an encouraging and uplifting environment for individuals of all skill sets while approaching their trade with excellence.  Romans 12:1 says "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." We strive to demonstrate excellence in our  relationships, business operations, ministry, worship, performing arts performance and education. Our team, by the grace of God, is bringing excellence in the performing arts to marginalized demographics and communities making excellence in the performing arts accessible to all. Matthew 25:40 - 45 says "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." We will continually use our individual skill sets, with excellence, to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community, our nation and our world. Mark 15:16 says "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Our prayer is that excellence in the performing arts provides us a platform to impact the lives of others by sharing and actively demonstrating the transformative love of Christ.

#4 Value - Unity

John 17: 20 - 23 says "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—  I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Unity is the string that ties our other three values together: excellence, stewardship and relationships. We as a staff, wan't to be unified in how we are serving our community. We want to be unified in our mission, understanding what we are doing, why we are doing it and how we are doing it. Not individually but together. They say if you want to go fast go alone.. but if you want to go far go together. Our staff works together, towards a common goal, to serve our community, nation and our world. We believe that our impact will be that much greater if we are serve together. We share common goals, communicate with each other, lift each other up, hold each other accountable and practice healthy conflict resolution.

Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith: Reverent Rhythms believes wholeheartedly in the infallibility and authority of the Word of God. We believe that God loves everyone and that we are called to demonstrate His love indiscriminately to everyone. We believe in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit, and that He is the one and only true God. We believe God is the creator and sustainer of the universe and human life and His purpose is to have a personal, saving relationship with every person. We believe that all are sinners, separated from fellowship with God, in need of salvation. We believe that salvation and eternal life is found only and exclusively in and through Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again to conquer death. We believe that the Son of God will return to earth and that until that day comes we should strive to know God more, abide by the Holy Spirit, love and serve others like Jesus did and to speak our faith boldly, to the end that  those who do not yet believe in the Son of God might be saved.
